The boring gear comes to the machine

Fully portable onsite line boring and ID welding, tailored to your machinery and your site. Worn bores welded up, bored back true and put back together where the machine stands.

  • Fully portable, the gear comes to the machine
  • Tailored to your specific needs onsite
  • No job too big or too small

The pin is knocking

Once a pin hole has gone oval it only gets worse, and fast. Line boring takes the hole back to true so a new pin and bush fit properly instead of hammering the hole out again.

The bore is past boring

Too far gone to simply machine? ID welding builds the inside of the hole back up, then it gets bored out to size. The component is repaired rather than replaced.

The machine cannot move

Our gear is fully portable. Rather than floating the machine to a workshop, we set up on it where it is working, in the forest, the quarry or the yard.

How it works

From the phone call to back at work

01

Tell us what is worn

Give us a call and describe the machine, which hole or component has gone, and where the machine is sitting. If you can take a photo of it, even better.

02

We come to the machine

The boring and welding gear is fully portable. The machine stays on site and we bring what the job needs to it.

03

Welded, bored, back together

Worn bores are welded up where they need it and bored back true. New bushes and pins go in, it gets reassembled, and the machine goes back to work.

Where we work

Portable means portable

The gear goes to the machine. Our own description of our coverage is countrywide, so tell us where your machine is sitting and we will let you know.

Questions

Worth knowing

What is line boring?
Line boring machines a worn pin hole back to a true, round, correctly sized bore. Once a hole has gone oval the pin knocks and the wear accelerates, so boring it back true and fitting a new bush and pin is what stops the damage spreading.
Do I have to get the machine to a workshop?
No. Our line boring and welding gear is fully portable, which is the whole point of it. We set up on the machine where it is working rather than you floating it somewhere.
What if the bore is too worn to just machine?
That is what the ID welding is for. The hole gets welded back up from the inside first, then bored back out to size, so the component is repaired rather than replaced.
What kind of machines do you work on?
Heavy machinery. Our documented work includes excavator and processor booms, dipper arms, chassis holes, lifting ram holes and hauler main booms. If you have something different, describe it to us and we will tell you whether it is a job for us.
Do you only do line boring?
No. As well as the portable line boring and ID welding, we carry out heavy diesel services, repairs, heavy equipment servicing and machinery maintenance.
Where do you work?
Our work is portable and goes to the machine. Get in touch with the location of your machine and we will let you know.

Tell us about the machine

Give us what you know. The machine, which hole or component has gone, and roughly where it is sitting is plenty to start with.
