ID welding and precision welding

When a bore has worn past the point where boring alone will fix it, it gets welded back up from the inside first.

ID welding builds material back into the inside of a worn hole. Once the weld is in, the bore is machined back out to a true round hole, so the component is brought back rather than replaced.

It is close, careful work, and it is a large part of why the line boring gear goes out with us. A hole that is simply too far gone to bore can often be welded and bored in the one visit, in place, with the component still on the machine.

We also take on precision welding on heavy equipment more generally, as part of a repair or on its own.
